Building Confidence…
One Smile at a Time

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers let you transform your smile. You can lengthen, reshape, mildly straighten, and brighten your smile all at once. In less than a month, you can get the smile of your dreams or restore the smile of your youth. Results are long-lasting: a decade or more with proper care.

vs

Invisalign

Invisalign lets you straighten your teeth without the wires and brackets required by traditional braces. Can be combined with whitening to brighten teeth at the same time. However, Invisalign can’t reshape teeth. Takes six months or more. Results can be permanent with retainer wear.

Types of Cosmetic Procedures Offered

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers are thin fronts of advanced ceramic that fit onto your natural teeth. They give the tooth an entirely new appearance. They can be used to brighten your smile without being limited by thin or discolored natural tooth enamel. They can also repair chipped or worn teeth. At the same time, veneers can straighten slightly crooked teeth and close spaces in your smile. Care for veneers by brushing, flossing, and wearing a bite guard during sleep.

Gummy Smile Correction

We can help if you’re unhappy with your smile because you have too much of your gums showing and not enough teeth. We will evaluate your smile to see if you have overgrown gums or teeth that are too small. We offer gum contouring to let your teeth shine. Small teeth can be built up with porcelain veneers. We will also evaluate the health of your gums to make sure gums aren’t swollen by infection.

Sedation Dentistry

Sedation dentistry helps people overcome dental fears to get the dental care they need or desire. It can also help people who have a powerful gag reflex to sit comfortably through a procedure. If you have trouble getting numb or sitting still through a procedure, sedation dentistry can also benefit you. Sedation dentistry is a safe way to feel better during and after your dental procedure, as it helps control both the stress and pain responses.

Reconstructive Dentistry

Reconstructive dentistry lets us repair or replace damaged teeth. It can restore teeth that have been damaged or lost to trauma, decay, wear, or other causes. It includes procedures such as fillings, dental crowns, onlays, root canal therapy, and dental implants. From a single damaged tooth to replacing all your teeth, reconstructive dentistry can help you enjoy a beautiful, healthy smile again. Don’t give up on your smile until you’ve talked to cosmetic dentist Dr. Chris Hill today.

The Smile On Process

STEP 1

Consultation

The first step in cosmetic dentistry is talking to a cosmetic dentist. Dr. Chris Hill will listen to your cosmetic goals, evaluate your current oral health, and take photographs, x-rays, and other scans as necessary. He will help you decide whether porcelain veneers or another cosmetic dentistry procedure is best for achieving your goal.

STEP 2

Plan & Design and Smile Test Drive

Once you’ve decided on your smile goals, Dr. Hill will work on a plan and design for your new smile. He will propose treatments, helping you to understand the benefits and limitations of each treatment option. Then he will design your new smile. As part of this process, you will get a chance to test drive your smile. Depending on the procedure, the test drive might include wax-ups that you wear on your real teeth just to see what they look like. Other times, we might do a digital wax-up to help get the plan right.

STEP 3

Porcelain Veneers Procedure And Immediate Smile

During this procedure, we remove a small amount of your natural tooth enamel to help porcelain veneers fit without creating a shelf that might feel strange or lead to bacteria accumulation. Once your teeth are prepared, we will take an impression of your teeth to help design your new smile. Then you’ll be given temporary veneers to wear while your permanent veneers are made. These look good, but aren’t as long-lasting as your permanent veneers will be.

STEP 4

Final Smile Placed

We’ll call you in once the lab has completed your permanent veneers. Then we’ll remove your temporary veneers and make sure the new ones look just as we planned them. Once you’re satisfied with the color, fit, and appearance of your porcelain veneers, we’ll cement them permanently to your teeth.

STEP 5

Enjoy Your new Smile

With your new veneers, you’ll enjoy showing off your beautiful smile. But you’ll also enjoy the function of your new veneers, which let you eat a wide variety of foods, and are easy to care for. Just treat them like natural teeth: brush, floss, and make regular dental visits. And if you care for them, your beautiful new smile will last for a decade or more.
