All-On-X
Benefits

All-On-X

All-On-X is an implant denture concept that says we should customize the number of dental implants to the needs of each patient. We might use 6 or 8 dental implants, with the goal of creating a stable platform so we can use quality materials for a long-lasting and functional restoration.

vs

All-On-4

This economy solution is highly engineered to be compatible with a broad base of the population. It doesn’t fully replace your arch of teeth, giving you a truncated smile. Plus, even with a 95% success rate, there is a 1-in-5 chance an implant will fail. Without backup support, this can cause the entire bridge to fail.

High-Quality Bridge

All-on-4 dentures are made using standard denture material: plastic teeth and gums. These not only look cheap, they are much softer than natural teeth. They can wear down and need replacement. While All-On-4 offers an upgrade to ceramic, the risk of stressing the few implants keeps most from upgrading. At Smile On, we use the highest quality zirconia with layer porcelain and titanium connections. This gives you attractive, natural teeth that will hold up over time.

3-D Surgical Design

We take detailed 3D images of your bone with our cone beam CT to assess the amount and quality of your bone. This lets us recommend the best number and placement of implants for you. We merge this with CAD/CAM implant design and planning software to ensure your implants and bridge are ideally suited to your jaw. Then we print our 3D surgical guides to make sure your implants go exactly where they need to. This reduces risk and discomfort while maximizing success and durability.

Invest in Success

All-On-4 dentures are designed to function with the minimum number of implants possible. When they work, this is fine, but in the event of an implant failure, which might be a 1-in-5 risk, your bridge will fail, too. This makes All-On-4 an expensive gamble. All-On-X, on the other hand, has built-in backups so that you won’t lose the entire bridge if you have a single implant failure. This peace of mind is well worth the slight increase in cost (not as much as you might think).

How All-On-X Works

STEP 1

Consultation

The first step in getting All-On-X is talking to an implant dentist. We will talk to you about your goals, evaluate your current health, and take a 3D x-ray (CT scan). We’ll review the x-ray and talk about your health to evaluate your implant options.

STEP 2

Plan & Design

Many offices use All-On-4 as a plug-and-play solution. They are going to follow the instructions and do what it tells them, so they don’t need any planning. However, we understand that every patient has their own unique needs, so we take the time to plan the strongest, most functional, and most durable solution for you.

Implant Procedure Gives You an Immediate Smile

We use sedation dentistry to ensure every patient has a comfortable experience during implant surgery. We will place all your implants in one procedure and you’ll leave our office with an attractive whole, new smile. This temporary gives you an attractive smile and functional bite during the healing period.

STEP 4

Permanent Bridge Placed

Once your jaw heals and bonds to your implants, we will take a digital impression to create your custom restoration. The high-quality zirconia bridge has a titanium framework for support. The custom-made bridge ensures not only that each tooth looks as natural as possible, but that your new smile is everything you hoped it would be.
